November was a fantastic month exploring some of the most interesting areas of China so far. After spending October having an easy, beautiful and sociable time in Japan it still just felt right to be back. I definitely miss the cheap sushi but Chinese spices and prices are required in my life.

Chongqing and Chengdu were both fantastic cities to relax in and the Sichuanese food just cannot be beaten. The Dazu Rock Carvings, Leshan Giant Buddha and Emeishan holy mountain were all excellent recommendations that I’m really glad I made it to.

Then it was back into the Tibetan highlands, now cemented as my favourite area of this country. The weather stayed perfect for the incredible Yading hiking, easily the best so far.

Yunnan completely earns its reputation amongst backpackers with perfect weather and incredible scenery. Sadly I didn’t have enough time left to fully explore the fascinating minority areas around the borders, I will definitely be returning in the future.

All this and much more will be included on the website in the near future. It’s been annoyingly difficult to create content from behind the Chinese firewall but I hope you enjoy what I’ve made so far.
