Taiwan
I spent around 2 weeks in Taiwan as my last major stop of 2018. The island is a glorious mix of incredible scenery, wonderful food and an fascinating mix of local culture and foreign influence, especially in Taipei.
For me the main impression I had was just how different Taiwan is to Mainland China! The food, language, characters and atmosphere are all fundamentally different and the language barrier is so much less intense. I met some amazing peopl and would love to go back in the future.
